Happy Independence Day! The 4th of July is very significant in American history. It marks the day the Declaration of Independence was adopted (July 4, 1776) and the United States officially became its own nation. American citizens celebrate America's birthday with festivals, parades, fireworks, barbecues and other festive activities.

Even with the Fourth of July being one of the most stimulating holidays in America, with some planning it still CAN still be enjoyable for our friends with autism. Making modifications and preparations ahead of time, we can create an enjoyable and memorable experience for those we serve.

Events in Action

Balance Autism recruiters attended the Barriers No More Summit and Career Fair event last month in Waterloo.

This event is organized in partnership with ONE Cedar Valley, IowaWORKS, MidWestOne Bank, Black Hawk County, the University of Northern Iowa, PDCM, the Jesse Cosby Neighborhood Center, Cedar Valley SHRM and the cities of Cedar Falls and Waterloo.
