Iowa ABA Conference - Today!

Balance Autism is proud to sponsor the Iowa Association for Behavior Analysis (Iowa ABA) conference every year. Today, several of our leaders are attending the event. As curious learners, we value this opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and learn from fellow professionals. Look out for a highlight of our key takeaways in our upcoming newsletter!

RescueVoice App

A new communication app developed for first responders and medical personnel was recently released and is available for download in the Apple App and Google Play stores. This app was created by Krista Davidson, a speech language pathologist and clinical professor at the University of Iowa. She saw a need during her recent work in educating Iowa first responders about complex communication needs. RescueVoice was created for first responders and medical personnel to communicate with individuals who have limited speech or are unable to speak due to a medical event. There is a small fee that will go toward continued development and upgrades to the app such as customization and multilingual options. If you know any emergency responders, skilled nursing facilities, and schools please spread the word about this wonderful resource!
